About
I’m Petra, a self-taught artist based in The Hague, originally from Budapest.
I started painting during a difficult period after moving to the Netherlands. Expressing emotions through words never came naturally to me, and I found that painting became a meaningful way to express them instead.
I work mostly with acrylic paint and texture paste, creating layered, tactile pieces guided more by feeling than by rules. Painting taught me patience, persistence, and how not to be afraid of mistakes.
I’m still exploring, still learning, and still finding my visual language. And I think there is something beautiful about being honest about that.
Commissions
Every commissioned piece starts with a conversation about a feeling, a memory, a person, a visual, or simply an atmosphere you want to keep close.
We discuss the idea, emotion, colors, and atmosphere of the piece.
I begin creating the painting, and you can follow the process along the way.
The finished artwork is carefully prepared and shipped to its new home.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, also known as the GDPR or AVG in Dutch, Cunucu Creative acts as the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. This means Cunucu Creative determines why and how personal data is processed.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise your privacy rights, or want to contact the business about the handling of your personal data, you may write to: cunucucreative@gmail.com.
When you submit an inquiry, contact form, commission request, or newsletter subscription, the website may collect personal data that you actively provide. This may include your first name, last name, email address, telephone number, country, delivery address, billing details, preferred artwork, commission preferences, message content, and any other information you voluntarily include in your communication.
When you browse the website, limited technical and usage information may also be collected automatically. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location, referring page, pages visited, time spent on the website, button clicks, cookie preferences, and similar website interaction data.
If you purchase an artwork or commission a painting, additional information may be processed where necessary to manage payment, invoicing, packaging, shipping, customer communication, legal administration, and accounting obligations.
Personal data is processed only for clear and legitimate purposes. These include responding to artwork inquiries, discussing commission requests, preparing offers or order details, coordinating payment and delivery, sending customer service messages, keeping basic business and accounting records, improving the website, protecting the website from misuse, and sending newsletter updates where consent has been given.
The website does not collect personal data for purposes unrelated to Textures of the Soul, artwork sales, commissions, communication, website operation, or legally required business administration.
Personal data is processed only where a valid legal basis exists under Article 6 of the GDPR. Depending on the situation, processing may be based on your consent, the necessity of taking steps before entering into a contract, the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests that do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Consent applies, for example, when you subscribe to the newsletter or agree to non-essential cookies. Contractual necessity applies when data is needed to respond to a purchase or commission request. Legal obligation applies when records must be kept for tax, accounting, or compliance purposes. Legitimate interest may apply to basic website security, fraud prevention, communication management, and understanding how visitors use the website in a proportionate way.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address and related subscription data may be processed through Mailchimp or another email marketing provider selected in the future. You can unsubscribe from newsletter communication at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in newsletter emails or by contacting Cunucu Creative directly. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
Payments for artworks or commissions may be completed by bank transfer, online payment link, or an external payment provider such as Stripe or another provider chosen in the future. Payment providers, banks, shipping companies, and administrative service providers may process personal data independently according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
For artwork purchases and commissions, data such as name, email address, payment reference, delivery address, invoice details, and order information may be retained where required for accounting, tax, legal, warranty, dispute handling, or customer service purposes.
This website may use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies may be used to make the website function correctly and to remember basic preferences. Non-essential cookies, such as analytics or marketing cookies, should only be used where legally permitted and, where required, after consent has been given.
Google Analytics or similar analytics tools may be used to understand how visitors interact with the website, which pages are visited, and how the website can be improved. Where possible, analytics should be configured in a privacy-conscious way, including limiting data collection, using appropriate retention settings, and respecting cookie consent choices.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. If a cookie consent banner is used, you may also adjust your preferences through that banner where available. Some parts of the website may not function correctly if essential cookies are blocked.

These may include website hosting providers, form or email providers, newsletter platforms, analytics providers, payment providers, accounting tools, shipping carriers, technical support providers, and legal or tax advisers where required.
Where service providers process personal data on behalf of Cunucu Creative, appropriate contractual arrangements should be used to require them to protect the data, process it only for agreed purposes, and apply suitable security measures.
Some external service providers, such as newsletter, analytics, hosting, or payment providers, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, personal data should be protected through legally recognised safeguards, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other transfer mechanisms permitted under GDPR.
Personal data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law. General inquiries that do not lead to a purchase or commission may be kept for a limited period to manage communication and follow-up. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Order, invoice, payment, and accounting records may be kept for the period required under Dutch tax and business administration rules.
When personal data is no longer needed, it will be deleted, anonymised, or securely archived where appropriate.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include secure website hosting, access controls, limited administrative access, reputable third-party tools, software updates, and careful handling of inquiry and customer information.

You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, where such a decision produces legal or similarly significant effects. This website does not use automated decision-making of that kind.
To exercise your rights, contact cunucucreative@gmail.com. A response will be provided within the timeframe required by GDPR. In some cases, identity verification may be requested before a privacy request can be completed.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to all inquiries, purchases, commissions, and related communication concerning original artworks, future prints, and other creative works offered through Textures of the Soul. By using this website, submitting an inquiry, placing an order, or requesting a commission, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
This website and the artworks displayed on it are operated by Cunucu Creative, a sole proprietorship based in the Netherlands. Textures of the Soul is the artistic project and online presence through which the Artist offers original handmade artworks, commissions, and, in the future, selected prints or related art products.
All original artworks displayed on this website are handmade pieces created by the Artist, unless clearly stated otherwise. Each original painting is one of a kind. The artwork may include acrylic paint, texture paste, pearls, mixed media elements, or other physical materials that form part of the final artistic composition.
Because every artwork is handmade, small irregularities, texture differences, visible brush marks, raised surfaces, uneven areas, organic edges, cracks, marks, material shifts, or other handmade imperfections may be present. These characteristics are part of the artistic nature of the work and should not be considered defects.
Where additional materials are used, such as pearls, beads, textile elements, structured paste, or other decorative or tactile materials, slight variations in placement, surface structure, stability, shine, reflection, or texture may occur. These details are part of the physical and handmade character of the artwork.
Because mixed media and hand-applied dimensional materials are delicate by nature, a small element may loosen, shift, curve, lift, or partially detach from the surface over time, during handling, or during transport. This is an inherent risk of handmade mixed-media artwork and is not automatically considered a defect, provided the artwork has been handled, stored, and displayed with reasonable care.
Every effort is made to present artworks as accurately as possible. However, colors, contrast, scale, texture, surface shine, and material details may appear differently depending on photography, lighting conditions, screen calibration, device settings, browser settings, and the natural handmade texture of the artwork.
Photographs shown on the website are intended to give a realistic impression of the artwork, but they cannot fully reproduce the physical depth, texture, material quality, or tactile surface of an original handmade piece. Minor differences between the website images and the artwork in person do not constitute a defect.
Submitting an inquiry about an artwork does not create a purchase agreement and does not reserve the artwork. An artwork is only considered reserved or sold once payment has been received and confirmed, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
Artworks are generally handled on a first confirmed payment basis. If more than one person inquires about the same artwork, priority may be given to the buyer who completes the payment first. the Artist reserves the right to withdraw, refuse, or cancel an artwork sale before payment confirmation.
Prices are listed in euros unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes, payment provider fees, and any additional charges are not included unless explicitly stated.
Payment may be accepted by bank transfer or another payment method made available at the time of purchase. PAYMENT_METHOD_PLACEHOLDER Payment details will be shared after the inquiry or order confirmation. The artwork will not be shipped until the full payment has been received.
Commissioned artworks are custom-made, artist-led works created based on a conversation, emotional direction, references, colors, atmosphere, size preferences, or other agreed input provided by the client. A commission is not an exact reproduction service. the Artist interprets the agreed direction in her own artistic style, process, and visual language.
Before work begins, the general idea, size, style direction, materials, estimated price, and expected timeline will be discussed. Commission timelines are estimates only. Because each artwork is handmade, the process may take longer than expected due to drying time, layering, material behavior, availability, personal circumstances, or the nature of the creative process.
One minor revision round is included for commissions, unless otherwise agreed in writing. A minor revision may include small adjustments to color balance, details, or finishing touches where technically and artistically possible. Major changes, changes to the original concept, or requests that would require substantial repainting may be refused or may require an additional fee.
Commission projects require a 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins. The remaining amount must be paid before shipping.
The deposit is non-refundable because it reserves time in the studio schedule, covers preparation, concept development, materials, and the beginning of the creative process. If the client cancels the commission after payment of the deposit, the deposit will not be refunded.
If the Artist is unable to complete the commission due to exceptional circumstances, a suitable solution will be discussed. This may include postponement, adjustment of the project, or refund of amounts paid for work not yet carried out, depending on the situation.
Commissioned artworks are custom-made and personalized for the client. For this reason, commissions cannot be returned, exchanged, or cancelled once work has started, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
Original artworks are handmade, unique, delicate, and personally handled. Due to their original and handmade nature, returns and cancellations are generally not accepted. However, nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
Future prints or non-custom products may be subject to different return rules if offered for sale. Any product-specific return conditions will be stated at the time of purchase where required.
Shipping costs are calculated separately unless expressly stated otherwise. The buyer is responsible for all shipping fees, customs duties, import taxes, local VAT, handling fees, and any other costs charged by customs authorities, postal services, or delivery companies in the destination country.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the shipping provider, destination country, customs processing, public holidays, weather conditions, strikes, or other circumstances outside the Artist’s control. the Artist is not responsible for delays caused by shipping providers, customs authorities, or incorrect delivery information provided by the buyer.
The buyer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. If a shipment is returned, delayed, lost, or delivered incorrectly due to inaccurate information provided by the buyer, any additional costs may be charged to the buyer.
Each artwork is carefully packaged with suitable protective materials before shipment. However, once the artwork has been handed over to the shipping provider, transport is handled by the shipping company and is subject to the shipping provider’s terms, conditions, insurance rules, and liability procedures.
If an artwork arrives visibly damaged, the buyer must contact the Artist as soon as possible and provide clear photographs of the packaging, the damaged area, the shipping label, and the full artwork. Damage cases are handled case by case. Where applicable, a claim may need to be submitted to the shipping company, and the shipping company may be liable according to its own policies and insurance conditions.
The buyer should keep all original packaging until the damage claim has been reviewed, as the shipping provider may require inspection of the packaging and artwork.
Original artworks and commissioned paintings will include a signed certificate of authenticity. The certificate confirms that the artwork is an original piece created by the Artist. The certificate should be kept safely by the buyer and does not transfer copyright or commercial usage rights.
All artworks, images, text, photographs, designs, website content, and creative materials remain the intellectual property of the Artist unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. Purchase of an original artwork, commission, print, or other product does not transfer copyright to the buyer.
The buyer may display the purchased artwork privately and may share photographs of the artwork on personal social media, provided that the Artist or Textures of the Soul is credited or tagged where reasonably possible.
The buyer may not reproduce, copy, scan, resell images of, license, commercially exploit, edit, adapt, print, distribute, create merchandise from, or use the artwork for business, advertising, branding, publishing, product design, or any other commercial purpose without prior written permission.
It is strictly prohibited to use any artwork, image, photograph, text, design, or website content from Textures of the Soul for artificial intelligence training, machine learning datasets, image generation prompts, automated scraping, dataset creation, NFT minting, blockchain-related products, tokenization, digital collectibles, or any similar commercial or technological use without prior written permission.
No part of the website or artwork images may be downloaded, copied, extracted, indexed, scraped, or stored for the purpose of training, developing, improving, or operating artificial intelligence systems or other automated technologies.
the Artist reserves the right to refuse or cancel any inquiry, order, commission request, or project at her discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, requests that are offensive, discriminatory, harmful, exploitative, commercially misaligned, technically unrealistic, outside her artistic style, inconsistent with her values, or otherwise unsuitable.
If an order or commission is refused before payment, no purchase agreement is formed. If payment has already been made and the project has not started, an appropriate refund or alternative solution may be discussed, depending on the circumstances.
The information on this website is provided with care, but errors, outdated information, pricing mistakes, availability changes, or technical issues may occur. the Artist reserves the right to correct errors, update information, change prices, remove artworks, or modify website content at any time.
Website availability is not guaranteed. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, hosting problems, or circumstances outside the Artist’s control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Artist and Cunucu Creative are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, emotional disappointment, delivery delays, third-party service failures, customs delays, or damage caused by incorrect use, handling, framing, hanging, storage, cleaning, or exposure of the artwork after delivery.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by mandatory law.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in the buyer’s country of residence provide otherwise. Any disputes will first be approached through good-faith communication in order to find a fair and reasonable solution.
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the business, artwork offering, legal requirements, payment methods, shipping processes, or website functionality. The latest version will be published on this website with the updated effective date.
